The CrowdWater team visited the Citizen Science Association Conference in St. Paul, Minnesota, where we were represented with a presentation, a poster and our “CrowdWater table”. We will go home with many new ideas for the CrowdWater project and many new contacts from the world of citizen science.
Here are some impressions from the conference:
The CrowdWater poster with the title “How Accurate Are Citizen Scientists?”
The CrowdWater presentation with the title “Can Citizens Observe What Models Need?”
The “CrowdWater table”, where participants could test the app in a tupperware. Also we had the first screening of our water level tutorial video and swiss chocolate.
Ian Thornhill (FreshWater Watch) is talking about the importance of feedback.
Muki Haklay is talking about the european citizen science landscape.
