Manual Data Download

The data of the project can be downloaded for free. For technical reasons, a user account is needed. You are not obliged to collect data yourself to be able to download the data.

The following steps can be carried out here or in the corresponding embedding directly on our homepage.

You only need to register, if you never signed up for a citizen science project running on the platform of Spotteron.

To register, enter a username, an e-mail address and a password. Confirm that you are not a robot and that you agree to the terms of use and accept the data policy.

Specify if you want to get the CrowdWater newsletter in the future. Afterwards, you will be logged in directly (you can skip the next step in this manual).

If you already own an account on Spotteron, you don’t have to register again. Login with your e-mail address and password.

After logging in, you get to the interface where you can upload a new spot. Click on the menu in the upper left corner:

Almost at the bottom of the menu you can find the button to download the data of the project:

Read through the licence for the usage of the data. Clicking on “Accept & Download” starts the downloading of the CrowdWater data as a csv.
